AN APPEAL

Kancheepuram known as the Temple City is one of the Seven Mokshapuris and “Sathya Vradha Kshethram”.  Sri Vaigunda Perumal Temple is among the Hundred and Eight Shri Vaishnavite Divya Desams.  Lord Shri Vaikundanatha has hyms rendered by Shri Thirumangai Alwar.  This Temple is nearly 1,700 years old and under the control of Archeological Survey of India controlled by Central Government, and is a reputed ancient Temple.  This Temples natural Statues are very beautiful and the Prameswara Warman and Narasimha Warma Pallavan period during the Three Nilayas (Three Floors) of the tower was build.  The first Nilai (Floor) Lord Vaikundanatha Swami (Mukuntha Narayanan) in sitting position (Veetriruntha Thirukkolam) and the Second Nilai (Floor) Lord Ranganatha swamy is sleeping position (Sayana Thirukolam) Uthsava Moorthy Lord Varam Tharum Mamanivannan and the Third Nilai (Floor) Lord Paramapadha Nathan.  This Temple’s original name “Paramechura Vinnagaram” as per the hyms of Sri Thirumangai Alwar in “PERIYA THIRUMOZHI” and the other name is “Kudavarai Kovil” of Kanchi and the Vimanam is Mukuntha Vimanam, Mummada Koil.  It is proposed to perform Maha Samprokshnam of the Vimanam and Garbagraham of Sri Vaikunda Perumal Sannidhi and all Alwar Acharyas Sannidhi by Sri Vaikunda Perumal Arulicheyal Kainkarya Sabha on 29th of Panguni (12-04-2007).  The total cost of the prokshanam estimated at nearly Rs.7,00,000/- and this has to be carried out only through liberal donations from kind hearted Philanthropist and Devotees.  Donations are also solicited for different Sacred Kainkaryas  as detailed separately.  By participating in this sacred cause you will be recipients of the benign blessings of Shri Vaishnavite Acharyas and the devine grace of Shri Vaigunthavalli Thayar sametha Sri Vaigundanadha Perumal.  Donations in cash/cheque / demand draft drawn in favour of Sri Vaigunda perumal Arulicheyal Kainkarya Sabha and send to No.20-B, East Mada Street, Little Kancheepuram – 631 503.
