Pillai Lokacharya, son of vadakku thiruveedhipillai (shisya of Nampillai), named after the acharya nampillai was a very great acharya who fled out of srirangam, not considering his old age for the very sake of protecting namperumal the kula dhanam of the Srivaishnavas, from the clutches of the muslim invaders. But due to his age he couldnt proceed his journey after jyothiskudi, a place very close to Madurai in South India. The place where this great mahan attained paramapadam is very divine and a brindavanam (thiruvarasu) exists there, considered as very sacred by the natives. Now this small sannadhi has been renovated by the great efforts of many srivaishnavas (under the able guidance of Sri Velukkudi krishnan swamy) and the grand samprokshanam is scheduled to be held on April 12th.

This place is called as A.KodikkuLam. It's near tirumOgoor divya desam (Madurai). This sannadhi is under the control of tirumOgoor temple. Mini buses run from Madurai mattuthavani bus stand. Accessible from: Othakkadai near madurai by mini bus/auto.
