Prapanna jana koodasthar, the head of the azhvars was born in thirukurugoor as the son of a blessed couple, kAri and udaiyanangai. The child was abnormal and didnt have any activities of a normal child. When the parents approached a astrologer to know about the future of the child, the reply came as a shock to the parents "You can take this child to any temple but don't ever do the mistake of taking this child to the temple of aravindalochanan-Thirutholaivillimangalam (one of the nava thirupathis around azhvar thirunagari near thirunelveli). Then the child will not be yours" But since it was the practice of their ancestors to take the born child first to the temple the parents didn't want to go against and hence they took the child there. After that when they went to thirukurugoor, the child crawled and sat under the thirupuliazhvar, meditating on the lord.
The above paasuram shows how nammazhvar considered the perumal in tholaivillimangalam as his father, mother in mind, words and actions and whoever recites these paasurams will become devotees of Sriman Narayana.
Such divya desams that are very close to the heart of our azhvars and acharyas are in a very pathetic state today not taken proper care by we srivaishnavas. The sannadhis of aravindalochanar and devapiran are in the need of vessels for making and submitting prasadams to the lord. There is no proper storage cabinet for the perumal's vastrams. So we invite kind hearted bhagavatas to take part in this divine kainkaryam and get the blessings of aravindalochanar, devapiran and swamy Nammazhvar.
